Preceptorship and Student Training

Koehler Mental Health is committed to training the next generation of psychiatric providers. Dr. Koehler serves as adjunct nursing faculty and precepts psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) students in our Newport Beach practice, offering supervised, hands-on clinical experience in outpatient psychiatry.

Students gain direct experience with comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management across a broad range of conditions, and a whole-person approach that integrates lifestyle, sleep, and exercise into treatment planning.
